I was born and raised in a small central-Maine town. Most of my school years we lived on a farm. During this time, I thought about what I wanted to be when I became an adult. I knew that farming was not what I wanted to do; then I read "The Hobbit" by J. R. Tolkien, and that's when I realized I wanted to be a writer. I took all the English courses I could and began writing short stories in the Sci-Fi, horror, and fantasy genres.
I began writing my first book during my Freshman year of high school. After I graduated, I put my writing on hold to raise a family, but the dream of being a writer was still there. After several job changes, I began to work construction, and continued this career my whole adult life. Years went by… my children left home… I divorced… and married a wonderful woman who encouraged me to finish my book.
In 2012, I began writing articles for a news and science website. During this time, I finished the book I started in school, but didn't publish it. I realized it needed a prequel, so I wrote another book leading up to the events of my first story. In 2017, I finished that story, Mydirth: Metamorphia, (the prequel), which became my first published book. In the spring of 2018, I published the first story I wrote, Mydirth: The Broken Escutcheon.
After moving around a lot following my work, my wife has now passed, and I now live in a small town in Georgia.
